Classic Appeal in Deshan Mountain is one of the Top 10 Scenic Spots of Changde. The legend says that Mr. Shanjuan promoted morality in Deshan mountain (and Deshan literally means a mountain with morality) 3, 000 years ago. The saying goes like this "Deshan Mountain in Changde has morality". Xuanjian, a famous monk, explained the Buddhism in this mountain. It is an origin place for the "morality culture"of China.

    There are a few ancient buildings, such as Qianming Temple, Gufeng pagoda, and Prince Ming' s Tomb. It is really enjoyable to climb the Gufeng pagoda, listen to the morning bell of Qianming Temple, and view the Yuanjiang River.
